King Louie Sherman III, beloved cat of The Howard Family, passed away November 28th, 2025. His first few years of life were a mystery, but his journey led him to the Howard Home in early 2019, where the family instantly fell in love with him. For the past 6 years Louie brought much joy, laughter, and comfort to his family. Louie was the most regal, majestic, and handsome cat you could ever meet. His purr could be heard from miles away. He never missed an opportunity to share his love with everyone. If you ever visited the Howard Home, you were instantly greeted by Louie, and he would make sure you felt the love by parking himself on your lap within moments of your arrival. Many were impressed with is his uncanny ability to hear a can being opened from rooms away. Treats were always devoured with tenacity, including his favorite, shredded cheese. He was clever, and would use his cuteness to receive scraps from the dinner table. In his downtime Louie enjoyed mornings with Dad, dancing with his Mom, and cuddling up to his human brothers in his favorite Christmas sweater. You would often find him hanging out with his favorite toy, a catnip pickle. He practiced regular scratches on the many cat trees throughout the home, and enjoyed couch lounging alongside his brother Norman. This handsome, sweet boy will be sorely missed, and never forgotten. Louie is survived by his adopted parents Bryan and Nicole Howard, his loving brothers Alec, Bret, and Porter, and his loving fur brothers Cookie and Norman.
